FOOD SERVICE TRAINING
RCP’s MassSTEP ESOL program integrates English language skills and civics education with career-specific training in the food service industry. This training program is designed to prepare students with basic skills, relevant occupational skills, and essential workplace skills to enter the workforce in the food service and hospitality industries. The curriculum combines language development and workforce preparation training to provide ESOL students with the skills needed to obtain an entry-level position with one of our employer partners. The skills taught will also help prepare students to move into higher-wage jobs at a faster pace.

Program Details:
Convenient location in Randolph
NO COST 10-week training program
18 hours of training per week
Students will earn three industry-recognized credentials - OSHA 10, Massachusetts Allergen Training, and ServSafe Food Handler
Educational and career advising, including individual advising, classroom presentations, practice completing job applications and interviewing, resume writing, on-site tours, and connection to further educational and training programs
Employment opportunities are available to those who successfully complete the training program
requirements:
Intermediate or higher English language skills
Ability to commit to the FULL training program
Resident of Massachusetts
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Massachusetts Skills Training and Education Programs (MassSTEP) is made available through a grant from Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) Adult and Community Learning Services (ACLS). Through this grant, students are eligible to attend this training program at no cost.
